Il Donga è il combattimento ritualizzato dei Surma: i motivi di un Donga possono essere molteplici ed in questo caso era stato indetto per dirimere una questione tra due villaggi nata in seguito ad un litigio fra due giovani che volevano acquistare le stesse banane in un mercato.. Sono eventi molto sentiti in cui a volte gli animi si scaldano parecchio e dove i colpi possono causare ferite anche gravi pur se ci sono regole ferree ed arbitri di entrambe le fazioni che controllano la regolarità.. Tra una settimana partiremo per l' Etiopia e tra poco più di 10 giorni saremo dai Surma nella speranza di poter assistere ancora una volta ad un altro Donga... Etiopia Gennaio 2011
