La redoute des Trois communes est un ouvrage d'infanterie construit à 2080 mètres d'altitude. Elle est placée sur le sommet le plus au Nord du Massif de l'Authion en avant des forts des Milles Fourches et de la Forca pour ralentir les assauts de l'infanterie sur ces ouvrages. Les travaux commencent en 1897 à la place d'une ancienne batterie d'artillerie « batterie de Sarde », ils se termineront en 1900. L'ouvrage est construit en béton armé sauf le c?té de l'entrée qui est construit en pierre de taille. Il peut accueillir 60 hommes. Son armement se compose de fusils et de mitrailleuses. En avril 1945, les allemands occuperont le Massif de l'Authion pour ralentir l'avancée des alliés. Les traces sur les ouvrages du massif témoignent encore des violents combats. #BiancoeNero #BlackAndWhite #Storia
