Beautiful collection.
A couple of notes: He cut a piece of the building to the left and you burned the clock.

@ Fabiopol - with regard to the framing I can tell you that I also have a version with the entire building but with less bridge, on balance since the final part of the palace is in the darkness I preferred this version with Big Ben in the middle and the beautiful bridge.
For the clock you're right and I've also noticed right away, if I decreased the exposure time would not have had the Thames "velvety", how do you regulate in these cases?
Double Exposure?
Thanks for the lift and for a possible answer.

Giotto: we take a step back, what are the reasons that motivated you to do this step and then to share it? What did you want to express? you just wanted to document? What is the subject of the photo? The river, the bridge or the parliament?

According to me what led you astray with the exposure is not the river, but the upper part of the buildings, especially the tower of St James tower. Trying to remove these from the background (sky) have affected the lower part of which is burned (with the clock). So I exposed a shorter time or used a ND filter (if it was helpful to have her own silky water).
As if I wanted the building to evenly lit I took another hour to get more light naturally lighter and therefore less stop of difference between the shaded areas and the luci still get a night shot. The other way (easier and less informative) could have been a double exposure.

I like the framing around here, the subject is the cityscape itself, that night I did a series of shots (7 or 8) with cuts and different times, but I prefer it because I like the colors, the light, the symmetry I like to speculate about the effect that form the sky and the bridge to the right of Big Ben, as a projection, perhaps not the most technically correct (I have 45 and 22 seconds of exposure) but it is one that I like most.
I did not want to document anything they express something special, I was just in a beautiful place where Ithousand photos and I wanted to make "my" shot, I like to shoot.
I shared this because I like it and I also inserted in comment area to get advice like yours.
It may seem stupid but I had never considered the use of a ND filter at night, you gave me an idea that definitely will not miss the next opportunity to try. :-)
Thank you again.
