Purtroppo non conosco il direttore della struttura alberghiera.
Del resto non è più il vecchio storico e casalingo Albergo delle Nazioni, oggi, da poco peraltro, fa parte della catena internazionale Boscolo.
Beh, in effetti dal terrazzo dell'albergo si potrebbero ricavare delle magnifiche "cartoline" del borgo antico della città e di tutto il lungomare.

Veramente non ti piace il gioco con i frangiflutti?! 
pensa un po' che la foto mi sembrava così poco interessante, almeno dal PDR in cui mi trovavo, che stavo per scartarla: troppa monotonia tra orizzonte e vele perfettamente allineate, troppo mare davanti, schiacciamento zoom, ecc.
poi, notando i frangiflutti, li ho fatti rientrare in campo e, sfruttando le similitudini degli stessi con le vele e anche introducendo un altro piano (fuori fuoco), ho cercato di dare maggiore profondità e interesse alla scena.

think a bit 'that the photo seemed so uninteresting, at least from the PDR where I was, I was going to discard it: too much monotony between the horizon and sails perfectly aligned, too sea front, crushing zoom, etc..
Then, noticing the breakwater, I made them return to the field and exploiting the similarities of the same with the sails and also introducing another floor (out of focus), I tried to give more depth and interest to the scene. ;-)

Opinione....l'allineamento fa' parte di una condizione ben precisa (partenza)... non vuol dire per questo che siano statiche...l'immagine ci racconta quel tipo di evento. I tuoi occhi guardando sarebbero catturati dalle barche e non dai frangiflutti...ecco perche' (opinione) disturbano l'inquadratura...non crearti troppi stereotipi..la semplicita' molto spesso e' la migliore soluzione fotografica...buona luce
