In camera sarebbe il massimo, ma non sempre è possibile lavorare con i punti laterali (io ho la 6D che non è proprio votata alla fotografia sportiva, quindi sono più portata ad usare il centrale per un migliore aggancio della MAF in Iservo).

Ciao, sono Antonio, ti dico la mia sull'uso dei sensori af laterali, per esperienza di foto surf fatta per dieci anni ti dico che ho provato ad usarli per decentrare direttamente in fase di ripresa ma, non essendo precisi come il centrale molte volte il fuoco se ne andava facendomi perdere il momento, è vero che io ho usato canon 20d e 350d e, quindi, macchine non pro come la tua 1dmkII, prova con la tua, però i computer delle macchine non hanno vita facile con il surf a causa della schiuma bianca delle onde, a volte, se hai un punto di ripresa basso il fuoco se ne va per la schiuma dell'onda che stava davanti a quella che inquadravi....
Eh, non è facile, dopo alcuni tentativi io ho fatto tutto con il centrale e, se poi era possibile ricomponevo in PP come ti ha suggerito Bzanna3.
