Le misure del Ponte di Veja, il più grande ponte naturale d'Europa:
campata di 50 metri ed uno spessore minimo di 9 metri, altezza della volta dal fondovalle circa 30 metri, larghezza minima 15 metri.
Roccia: calcare Oolitico di San Vigilio per i piloni d'appoggio e il fondo della valletta, calcare Rosso Ammonitico per i tavolati della campata.
Il covolon (cavernone) si è formato negli ultimi 40 milioni di anni, poi il crollo della parte più profonda che ha lasciato intatta la bocca del covolo formando il ponte, presumibilmente circa 100.000 anni fa, già in epoca preistorica. Attorno al ponte numerose grotte (chiuse al pubblico), vere miniere di reperti preistorici.

The measures of the Ponte di Veja, the largest natural bridge in Europe:
span of 50 meters and a minimum depth of 9 meters, height of the vault from the valley floor about 30 meters, minimum width of 15 meters.
Rock: Oolite limestone of St. Vigil for the piers and support the bottom of the valley, limestone plateaus Red Ammonitico for the span.
The covolon (cavern) was formed in the last 40 million years, then the collapse of the deepest part that has left intact the mouth of covolo forming the bridge, probably about 100,000 years ago, in prehistoric times. Numerous caves around the bridge (closed to the public), real prehistoric mines.

Bella Riki, location che merita, sembra d'essere nel Giurassico :))
Sotto l'arcata, colonna sinistra, ci sono delle grotte, in una ho passato dei mesi (non ci vivevo eh  ) a studiare i pipistrelli che ci vivono.. posto magico!

Bella composizione (in notturna non è mai facile) ottima post, atmosfera giusta.
Il ponte di Veja non è così facile da fotografare, tu hai scelto bene il punto di ripresa.
Forse l'unica cosa che mi spiace non vedere è la polare (includerla nello scatto non sarebbe stato male ma conoscendo il posto immagino le difficoltà)

Beautiful composition (at night is never easy) excellent post, right atmosphere.
The Ponte di Veja is not so easy to photograph, you chose well the point of recovery.
Perhaps the only thing that I regret not seeing is the polar (include it in the shot would not be bad but knowing the place imagine the difficulty)
