Tramite Liguriabirding, abbiamo fatto un po di indagini per capire come mai, questo uccello così raro, si sia fatto avvicinare molto e sopratutto in un luogo così inusuale?
Altra rarità, è vederlo posato, il labbo vive in mare?.
Altra cosa strana, è il luogo dell'avvistamento,la liguria(Arma di taggia) Imperia, non rientra nella loro rotta migratoria..
Leggendo i manuali, abbiamo visto che partono dalla Scozia, Islanda e, percorrendo tutte le coste Francesi e Spagnole ATLANTICHE,arrivano sino al portogallo dove poi alcuni esemplari si lanciano in una traversata oceanica per arrivare sulle coste del brasile?..
Che dire, immaginando tutto questo?.Siamo solo spettatori della natura!!!!!

Dei fuori rotta sono abbastanza normali anche se quantitativamente molto scarsi--------------

Passano normalmente sulla Costa Tirrenica, anche se con numeri abbastanza scarsi (penso una trentina di esemplari all'anno in Italia)
Sono più rari, invece, il Labbo codalunga (migratore irregolare, se non sbaglio) e lo Stercorario mezzano.
Comunque un bell'avvistamento per il periodo
