, 1/400 f/7.1, ISO 100, hand held. Etosha National Park, Namibia. Specie: Tragelaphus strepsiceros

Hello Cristina, as usual:-D I have your same picture, though made at dawn (I still have to insert it into the galleries, however, the arrival of the kudu to the pool of Halali you can see it here [URL =] www.wildlight.eu/index.php?option=com_zoo&task=category&catego
I used the disk (300 2.8) times, although there is great detachment from the bottom (considering the lens-to-subject distance) the difference compared to a zoom you can see ;-)
In summary I would say that it is not your fault, even with a larger aperture, at that distance you'd have a background in mind. Hello

Quoto Alexander, but when you decide to buy the new 200-400 f4 multiplied (12,000 euros??):-D
It remains, however, a very nice photo with a nice hunk of KUDU that I still have not! Beautiful reflection and context with the hens in the background.

If I were you I'd settle for a 300 2.8 IS used, almost give them ... ;-)
The picture as Paul says, and 'very nice and set.
You mean a break like this, just to give an example?

How do you see your own opening and dark lens, 360mm, f only focus on the eye of the subject. No crop. I was also slightly higher.

Thanks Alessandro, for once I was careful into the scene ... Cut the nice reflection would have been just a very bad mistake (I would have lynched ;-))

Light and colors are also data from the surrounding environment. Only in part depend on the lens from the sensor. But the Tamron I defends himself well.
Your photo does not have a bad light it ugly colors. The composition and proper with a nice reflection. I think I have cut a few dozen. :-( ... You're not the only one.

What do you mean you think is the focal plane. But I do not know anything about this stuff mica :-|

I like to do more practice. Taking as long as I do not like and I rely a lot on the factor c ... :-D
I get bored to read the manual of the camera:-D:-D

Cristina, regardless of the detachment with the background, however you have captured a wonderful specimen and a beautiful subject.

I like the reflection and the light is one of the components that make a difference in this case a little hard. Hello

Thank you so much for being passed here guys, glad you like this shot.
@ Lucix, the light of this shot does not satisfy me even a little 'and is another problem that I do not know how to fix :-(
@ Francis, I really hope you manage to go to Namibia next year! The kudu antelope are really stylish, then the horns of the males are beautiful ...

The observations you have made, I will just make you my compliments for a clicking sound that is very pleasing to both the cut, for the colors, as well as for the beautiful reflection.
Greetings! :-)
