I almost always use spot metering on the 1D IV which is always done on the selected point of Focus (mica ... pretty cool little ...!) And ISO Auto. (Sottoespongo in Microadjustment AE -2 / 8 - in flight with people silhouetted on the sky sovraespongo also 1 stop)
For the focus depends on the situation ....
On static subjects using the center point with expansion of the adjacent ones.
On those in-flight use the central 9 with automatic selection, hooks when the subject is difficult then lose it .... ;-)

Io utilizzo quasi sempre la misurazione spot che sulla 1D IV viene sempre fatta sul punto selezionato di Messa a Fuoco (... una figata mica da poco...!!!) e Iso Auto. (sottoespongo in Microregolazione AE di -2/8 - in volo con soggetti stagliati sul cielo sovraespongo anche di 1 stop)
Per la messa a fuoco dipende dalla situazione....
Su soggetti statici utilizzo il punto centrale con espansione di quelli adiacenti.
Su quelli in volo utilizzo i 9 punti centrali con selezione automatica, quando agganci il soggetto, difficilmente poi lo perde....
