Amazing! Marvellous! Superb! Portraits one of the nicest I've seen so far on this forum.
Four faces with four expressions diverse.Il first left curiously observing those who were photographing, the second seems to say "oh I'll be there," the third is concerned almost come good in the picture and the fourth is not clear what is succedendo.Questa is just my interpretation, you made me fantasize and for this I managed a photo.
Compliments.

Take away a curiosity, at that moment you were not the only one who photographed them true?

Thank you Guiccio, FW190d and Umberto for your kind words. John?
Thanks Memy for your compliment. It is always hard to settle on a suitable crop but this is not cropped. I did want to show the walls of the house ( woven bamboo ) and the open window which was open to the weather as well as any creatures wanting too enter the house. John?
Also thanks to Dragone, Cristina, Bara and Claudio for your praise as it is very much appreciated.
Simone, I am very happy to hear your comments, Thank you Sir for your interest.
I was the only one there and probably the only Western people they had ever seen. These areas are rarely visited by tourists especially as we asked the driver to stop at this house as we passed it. No-one would ever stop there but my wife has a keen eye for something like this. Their father was busy cutting bamboo into strips in the rain, probably for more walls like the existing walls. He never spoke to us until my wife ( Vietnamese ) spoke to him. The child on the left was looking at my wife who was walking towards us from the car. She gave the elder girl a small carton of milk from the car and told her to put it in a glass and give it to the baby. They had only a small amount of rice for breakfast and were in the house all day and this was later in the afternoon. The baby gulped down the milk in a frenzy as she was so hungry. They are extremely poor and had absolutely nothing in the house. We hope to return again to this village next year and take more food and perhaps a photo of them to keep. Earlier that day and the day before we had visited people we met last time and gave them copies of the photos I took then. Most would have never had their photo taken. It is an area close to Hue but generally ignored by tourism companies as there are only poor ethnic people living there. Strangely enough, just what a photographer wants !!! Regards, John...
