Pyrgus alveus H?bner ? 1803 Nome Volgare: Pirgo alpino Famiglia: Hesperiidae Sottofamiglia: Pyrginae Lunghezza ala anteriore mm. 13-15 Note: sverna allo stadio di larva. Le uova sono deposte isolate sulle foglie delle piante nutrici. Quando nascono, le larve hanno vita solitaria e si impupano in bozzoli liberi di colore marrone scuro, posti sul terreno alla base della pianta nutrice. Maschio: ali anteriori di colore bruno scuro con piccoli spazi bianchi. Presente una piega androconiale costale. Ali posteriori di colore bruno scuro con aree leggermente più chiare. Femmina: simile al maschio ma con spazi bianchi delle anteriori più ridotti e aree chiare delle posteriori meno evidenti. Assente la piega costale nelle anteriori. Rovescio: colore bruno olivastro uniforme con spazi bianchi. Distribuzione: Alpi. Habitat: prati del piano montano e cacuminale da 700 a 2200 metri s.l.m. Generazioni annuali: una sola con sfarfallamento degli adulti in luglio e agosto. Piante nutrici: Agrimonia sp., Helianthemum nummularium, Polygala sp., Potentilla sterilis, Rubus sp..
