Plebejus (Lycaeides) abetonicus Verity 1910 Nome Volgare: Idas degli Appennini Famiglia: Lycaenidae Lunghezza ala anteriore mm. 11-15 Maschio: colore blu violaceo con esile bordo nero. Frange bianche con tracce di nero in corrispondenza delle nervature. Ali posteriori con punti marginali neri talvolta presenti. Femmina: colore bruno scuro, sempre con ampia sfumatura blu violetta estesa all'area basale e postdiscale. Frange di colore grigiastro. Ali posteriori con punti neri marginali affiancati da una serie di spazi lunulari arancio, presenti talvolta anche nelle anteriori. Rovescio: colore grigio chiaro con sfumatura basale azzurra, disegno puntiforme nero e serie di spazi submarginali arancio. Nei punti marginali delle ali posteriori sono presenti alcune squame con riflesso metallico di colore blu verdastro. Assente spina tibiale nel secondo paio di zampe. Distribuzione: Italia settentrionale e centrale Habitat: prati e greti sabbiosi dal piano basale a quello montano, sino a circa 1.600 metri s.l.m. Generazioni annuali: due con sfarfallamento in maggio-giugno e agosto-settembre. Piante nutrici: Ononis spinosa. Astragalus monspessulanus, Onobrychis viciifolia.
