Grazie Ian per il tuo commento. Conosco l'attrazione che le simmetrie esercitano su di te e che è ben illustrata dalle tue foto. Io istintivamente rifuggo invece dalle simmetrie e di questa parete mi ha attratto proprio la mancanza di qualunque riferimento simmetrico. Pensa che mi piace andare alla scoperta delle asimmetrie sulle facciate delle chiese romaniche. Magari una volta avremo la possibilità di confrontarci su questi nostri aspetti antitetici...
Thanks Ian for your comment. I know the attraction that the symmetries have on you and that is well illustrated from your photos. I instinctively shy away from symmetry and instead of this wall I was drawn to the lack of any reference symmetrical. Do you think that I like to explore the asymmetries on the facades of Romanesque churches. Maybe once we have the opportunity to meet our antithetical aspects of these ... Interessante :) dipende tutto dai gusti personali come sempre ! Sarebbe bello fare una serie di scatti antitetici e metterli a confronto, d'altronde la fotografia non è altro che l'espressione del proprio punto di vista :)

Condivido. Da giovane (quasi 40 anni fa) ho lavorato spesso con un amico fotografando nelle stesse situazioni. Vedevamo cose diverse ed era molto stimolante

Semmai il contrario.. Andava dato più spazio alla "fuga" rappresentata dalla porta sulla sinistra. Guardando la foto l'occhio prima ammira i mosaici poi scappa naturalmente verso lo spazio aperto.. che però è tronco e soffoca il desiderio di vedere (si capisce che c'è la città, diciamo di vedere meglio) cosa ci sia oltre i mosaici. Rappresentare meglio la città (i tetti, le antenne, il caos..) avrebbe anche dato maggior risalto al luogo in cui ti trovavi, un angolo di pace e bellezza nel mezzo di Tunisi. Per evitare "distrazioni" a chi osserva avrei anche evitato lo spicchio di cielo in altro a dx.
Comunque è un ottimo scorcio quello che hai colto!

Quite the contrary .. ;-) He went more space for the "escape" represented by the door on the left. Looking at the picture before the eye admire the mosaics of course then runs towards the open space .. but it is truncated and stifles the desire to see (you can tell which is the city, let's see better) what lies beyond the mosaics . Better represent the city (roofs, antennas, chaos ..) would also give greater prominence to the place where you were, a place of peace and beauty in the midst of Tunis. To avoid "distractions" to the observer would have also avoided the patch of sky in the other to the right.
However, it is a great glimpse of what you've learned! :-)

Capisco bene quello che dici e in effetti ho degli scatti con al centro la porta. Ma la visione dei tetti è secondo me abbastanza banale: potrebbero essere quelli di una qualunque periferia anche italiana e distolgono l'attenzione da ciò che mi ha affascinato ovvero l'armonia di forme e colori pur in presenza di una miscellanea di motivi ornamentali. L'uso del termine mosaico mi suggerisce che qui affiori comunque un gusto millenario anche se con uso di materiali diversi. A Tunisi al museo del Bardo si trova la più bella collezione al mondo di mosaici di epoca romana. Grazie molte per il passaggio e l'attenzione che ho molto apprezzato. Un saluto.
I understand what you say and in fact I have some shots with the center of the door. But the vision of the roofs in my opinion is fairly trivial: they could be those of any Italian and suburbs also takes attention away from what fascinated me that the harmony of shapes and colors even in the presence of a mixture of ornamental motifs.
