Yes Claudio, there are different worlds out there that make you wonder how these people survive and how lucky we all are with what we have. Every year my wife's family gets flooded with anything up to 2 metres of water through the house in Hue Vietnam, due to Typhoons and heavy rain fall. You never hear them complain, they move all the furniture upstairs and then scrub the floors and walls when it is gone, several times a year some years. That is their life.
What I try to photograph are the simple lives these people lead and to try and show their happiness or sadness through their facial expressions. A landscape is one thing but a face can tell a thousand stories, show pain and anguish, happiness and sorrow and can move a grown man to tears. That is what motivates me to travel to these locations.
