, Masai Mara, Kenya. Specie: Panthera leo

Stunning image and could not be otherwise. The episode I happened years ago in Ndutu but the ending was not happy, a lone male in front of the mother with three cubs. On the night unfortunately the male was able to kill two of the puppies injuring the mother.

Thank you all!
Fortunately in this case the determination of the lioness and the male took over, having lingered for a while ', he decided to leave.
To tell it all, around to survey the area was also the sister of the lioness, the mother of the other puppies a bit 'bigger you see. The lioness who had just given birth to 3 puppies instead (one stillborn you see on the left) was hidden under a log, in a cove that made it difficult even take pictures. The cousins ??a bit 'bigger the still standing around and taking milk from her, taking it away from unborn children who barely dragged, then slide on the belly of the mother. The next day the little cousins ??were removed from their mother in another place not far away, so as to allow the two hatchlings to eat quietly but by theirmma. We spent almost three full days with them, I still remember the "meows" and especially the small port still with me the great emotions of those days spent with them.
