Su 7100 moltiplicato 2X e con crop in camera hai un bel 780mm! Alla faccia della versatilità!! lo si può tranquillamente considerare anche per avifauna su 7100 ovviamente!
Ottimo scatto come sempre, dettaglio eccezionale e stacco dallo sfondo magnifico...grande tridimensionalità! 
On 2X and 7100 multiplied by crop in the room you have a nice 780mm! So much versatility! you can safely consider for avifauna of 7100 of course!

Ringhios: come non quotarti!! -- Oltre tutto hai dalla parte tua anche il peso e l'ingombro molto contenuti ed hai un 2,8 nativo!! Che te frega se perde diaframmi aggiungendoci i moltiplicatori suoi 14.17-20 E!!! con una spesa di tremila euro hai in mano tutto il mondo della caccia fotografica e solo cambiando i moltiplicatori . A pensarci bene basterebbe il solo TC20E tanto poi zumi!!! Quindi con poco più di duemila euro.

Beh Arcangelo, il discorso è diverso, dipende sempre dalle esigenze. Su D7100 col trecentone duplicato 2x e crop in camera hai ben 1170mm a f5,6! Con l'ottimo 70-200 f/2.8 ne hai "SOLO" 780 di millimetri e credo che il raggio d'azione del cannone da 300mm ti dia delle possibilità maggiori, in termini di posibilità di cattura, regalandoti dei file paragonabili a quelli della D7000 che tu conosci bene circa la qualità e risoluzione...soprattutto con queste lenti che possiedi 
Quindi concludo dicendo che il trecentone, ti offre una "LUNGIMIRANZA" che potresti ottenere con ottiche che ti costerebbero davvero mooolto di più del prezzo del 300 2.8 + 2X. Senza contare che a 300 mm hai sempre, su D7100 con crop di 1,3X in camera, un bel 585mm a 2.8, con una qualità da National Geographic 
I martini li avrai mica sempre appoggiati sul davanzale della finestra!!!!!

Well Archangel, is a different matter, always depends on the needs. On D7100 with 2x trecentone duplicate and crop room you well to 1170mm f5, 6wow! With the excellent 70-200 f/2.8 you have "ONLY" 780 millimeters and I think the range of the 300mm gun gives you more possibilities in terms of the option to capture, giving you the files comparable to those of D7000 that you know well about the quality and resolution ... especially with these lenses you own :-)
So I conclude by saying that the trecentone offers you a "FARSIGHTEDNESS" that you get with lenses that you really would cost waaay more than the price of the 300 2.8 + 2X. Not to mention that 300 mmyou always on D7100 with crop of 1.3 X in the room, a nice 585mm to 2.8, with a quality by National Geographic:-D
