L'ultima volta che l'ho incontrato ero a Ras Mohammed lo scorso anno e mi ha sfiorato come un siluro, lasciandomi esterefatta ed emozionata. Averlo rivisto con calma nell'acquario mi è piaciuto moltissimo. Grazie della tua spiegazione, l'ho davvero gradita Federica

Questo comportamento è dovuto al fatto che protegge la sua area territoriale dove talvolta ci sono anche le uova. In ogni caso quando si comporta così è meglio abbandonare la sua zona perché in successivi attacchi potrebbe estroflettere le lame presenti sul suo peduncolo caudale, che oltre che tagliare lasciano un muco velenoso nella ferita.
