Ciao

yes, an old print in black and white, on film obtained HP4 pulled to 1600 ISO and developed in Ornano Crowley DX 16 which increases the graininess. Printed on paper grade 4. Of course blur with long time, the camera (to be exact) Nikon FM with 200 mm f / 4. For the curious, the tennis player is Adriano Panatta (a lifetime ago) at the Foro Italico. Hello

Thank you Vincent ... maybe does not make a lot of monitors, while print is more effective. It 'a photo many years ago (think, is Adriano Panatta, the Foro Italico ... prehistory!) Taken in Ilford HP4 film and pulled to ISO 1600 and developed in to Ornano DX Crowley to coarse-grained and flaky ..

Bravissimo.

ciao.

Great shot Claudio, not only for its dynamism and intensity, but also for your own interpretation. For me they are not the megapixels that count, but the idea ....

Bravissimo.

Grazie

in this case not about the megapixels: the photo is several years ago. Imagine the Foro Italico and Adriano Pnatta. the photo was taken in black and white film with the Nikon FM tug at ISO 1600 then you were really a lot. Developed in DX 16 Ornano Crowley which served to increase grain and contrast. And then the printed paper is countered. Then I made the scan, in truth, it has increased a little 'too much grain. Thanks

Here is a splendid example of photography that the advent of digital has led to extinction: the creative move.
Certo, it is also possible that the fanatics of perfect observation from the first to the last pixel of the scene will lament the lack of clarity... but what a spectacle the feeling of dynamism that expresses this image gives!
I congratulate Claudio, it really is a photograph of great impact,
Paolo.

A dynamic move brought to b/n that creates a nice distortion that I find very pleasant.

Shots that remain like an author's painting and, in fact, I think that the photographic material, camera and subsequent passages in the darkroom, used in almost dystonic terms for their primitive purpose, determine authentic artistic creativity.
Personally, as an old darkroom worshipper I fully share your pre (HP4) and post-shooting choices, all stretched in an absolutely precise and unique direction. In some cases I used a rather special paper, produced by tensi company (I believe bankrupt or closed for decades) or a splendid sensitive canvas of the same manufacturer.
A part of the "filippica" in which, out of passion, I let myself be carried away, the shot is splendid.
A great "good" is absolutely deserved.

Thank you Stefano: the photo was taken on film, an HP4 Ilford pulled at 1600 ISO (at the time ASA) and developed in Ornano Crowley DX 16 that increases grain and contrast. Unlike what is written below, the reflex was a Nikon FM (which I owned at the time, today I also have a gorgeous FE and a first type FM2 with titanium tendon and honeycomb slats). It was resumed with 200 mm f/4 AI and not AIS.
