THE SMOKER Dopo qualche foto in BN ho voglia di postare qualcosa a colori...

Always very interesting and informative description of your photos Memy.
Colors and subject very welcome! Can I ask why we chose not to enlarge the picture up to the shoulder? (Always the same pain in the ass you are thinking, eh? ;-), I hope not!) Greetings

subject very nice, if the composition would have been a little wider to include more smoke and rings around his neck, would have been a great shot!
I think the colors are a little too full!
cmq beautiful!
a greeting!

Undoubtedly a moment of high intensity caught to perfection. Personally I would try to include the half-length to give more value to ornaments and smoke. Hello.

Thank you all for your comments and for the insights. :-)

Apart from that I shot a few more larger and in this shot I'm not interested in the series, I made to give greater importance to the look and smoke coming from his nostrils that would otherwise be a bit 'too lost and I really wanted that' were pointing attention on those points .... Another detail to be reckoned with, I tried to make the most of 'exceptional opportunity of sunflowers in full bloom which gave me the' opportunity to take pictures of Bonda which frankly I've never seen you around and I seen several photos of Bonda To include all ...... necklaces, which are quite large, I had to widen losing too, as well as attention to the points that interested me emphasize, the effect of the background completely yellow which I find to be one of points of uniqueness of the photo.
For me the photo wider, in this case, more information includes but is more predictable and far less interesting.....

For colors I must say that those were just warm loads after 'dawn when the sun turns them on the most and makes a difference ......
Yellow is the natural field of small sunflowers at that time as well as skin color, I desaturated a little 'red beads on his head while he shot too, on closer inspection, I could not push on' iris .. . But for all the rest of the colors are these! Warm and bright, the photos above and those made 10/15 minutes after they are no longer so ...................

On balance, I am satisfied because it came just as the 'I thought and how the' I wanted ..

Memy Hello ... thank you for your explanations as usual ... I would have suggested to enlarge the composition to include necklaces and the bottom of the puff of smoke, but it is right that you follow your own ideas that you have well-argued . STe

Thanks Ste,
is always a stimulus confront different ideas that, while remaining on your position, give a chance to see your own photo with different eyes and make any treasure for the future.

Going back to the photo, the fact is that I did not care to make a photo to documentation, photos where you can see all the necklaces I have many, but, as I said before, I wanted to highlight some peculiarities. To include necklaces honestly I would have to stretch a bit 'too shot coming to that, at least as I thought in those few seconds, in this case the choice felt more mundane and less interesting. Do not get me wrong and I'll explain: a larger frame is a great choice to documentation that definately would contain more information (about 100 photos of the 80 probailmente do so ..) but I think that is a much more obvious and, apart from the disturbing elements that would enter, I tried something strigendoa little 'different, less obvious and a bit' more interesting ...
Moreover, to think of it, in front of a picture in which there is everything, may or may not like but there are raising questions while in a case like this, is the urge to go further and see more ... .....

In addition, under the metal necklaces there are other very long beads that hang far below the waist so not to cut anything I had to do almost a full figure.

The puff of smoke and lasts a few seconds and it is quite difficult to predict how it will move ... But I think that you see in giuta measure and attract the 'attention much more than a shot in the enlarged EU.

One click in style Ng. Compliments.
I agree with you on framing memy, but to me the colors seem a bit too saturated. But I would say that they are in line with your style, now well recognized.

Memy Hello, I agree with what you said. Congratulations for taking a portrait worthy of merit ... for me. Sometimes it's easy to put a critical comment, but I think you forget that countless times, situations, and particular subjects, there is no time to think, well then came the critical and constructive comments that relate to post-production and composition, but all the photos are not still life, therefore still Congratulations on the shot and keep this. I've read comments on photos made people especially in the Middle East, where every shot has to be stolen, I talk about women with Burca etc. .... I do not think in those moments you can have time to think about the rule of four third parties, or the space in front or behind, or to aperture for depth of field, the focus and everything else. Sometimes comments on a lot of pictures, they seem to look for the needle in the haystack, when in reality, seize the moment is the grace of God Forgive me if I was incisive. All the best, Viviano

Thank you Viviano.
I agree with you that in many cases the research of technicality is totally useless and sometimes misleading, however, I must also say that the photo viewer sees a picture and plays without knowing the emotions of the person who took and independently from work or from difficotà to grasp shooting.
Personally if I do not keep a photo excites me consider other aspects when it did not rise much that I tend to take as a reference point technique, although I think that nellle reportage photos or portraits not made in the studio is not as important as other genres photographers.
Some comments or suggestions, if motivated can help a lot to grow: for example, I for myself and photographer have ideas precise enough on my fote on how I want her so hard you can not change his mind, however, I find it very interesting to be able to compare with those who have a different thought and every criticism or suggestion is food for thought ......

Every time it happens like this: I see the shot of a face in photo-random proposals on Arena, and I say, "This is Memy" ... and in this case I guessed. The credit is not mine, but yours, as you know ;-) Congratulations for this shot, very impressive and yet another seal to the "Style Memy"
