thanks for all warm comments. i was quite surprized that i got such huge DOF on that little spider using reversed 28mm without any extensions on f11, but you have to know that the spider was quite big in comparison to other spiders of the same kind. |

As always with jumping spiders, reversed 28mm :) this time without any extensions. Tripod, iso 200, natural light, no flash. Thats my usual settings for those small guys :) thanks for commenting, cheers! |

To be honest this season was the first i tried to photograph jumping spiders in natural light. Thats why i appreciate all warm comments to my pictures of them a lot. The pictures quality is far from what you can get with MP-E lens on Canon system, but for Pentax i assume you cannot get better quality with one shot and reversed lens. Obviously there are some magicians like Thomas Shahan who takes pictures of jumping spiders with Pentax camera and reversed lens with flash and the quality is just incredible, but he uses some tricks like cropping and advanced post processing in which im not that good :) |
