Orang utan fotografato al Semengoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre (Borneo) dove vengono curati e riportati in natura gli oranghi feriti o vittime dei bracconieri. Il parco viene aperto due volte al giorno ai visitatori in coincidenza con gli orari in cui a questi simpaticissimi primati viene offerto un pasto a base di frutta. In realtà non c'è alcuna garanzia di avvistamento dato che gli oranghi sono completamente liberi di muoversi all'interno del parco e non sempre si fanno attirare da uno spuntino gratuito. Noi siamo stati fortunati non tanto nel poterli fotografare, quando nel vederli rimanendo a bocca aperta stupiti della loro simpatia e dalla stupefacente somiglianza con l'uomo. Occorre sottolineare che, per quanto di indole mite e giocosa, sono e devono rimanere animali selvaggi. Quindi è consigliabile per entrambi i primati (uomo e orango) mantenere una reciproca e rispettosa distanza di sicurezza.
