A Redipuglia ci andai a fine servizio militare.
Peccato all'epoca non esistevano le digitali,usavo una vecchia Fujica con due ottiche,reflex,ma non mi era possibile portarla in giro.
Poi mi sono rifatto andando per tre volte in Normandia.....
A Redipuglia I went to the end of military service.
Too bad at the time there were no digital, I used an old Fujica with two lenses, SLR, but I could carry it around.
Then I made up going three times in Normandy .....

Sei riuscito a rendere giustizia alla sacralità del posto.. tramite tre cose fondamentali:
- un azzeccatissimo PDR
..che porta l'osservatore a contatto diretto con la prima croce e l'erba che gli sta davanti
..e che accentua con la giusta prospettiva la moltitudine delle croci
- la gestione della luce e quindi dei bianchi
..che consente di leggere le incisioni sulla prima croce dando la possibilità all'osservatore di entrare nel merito
- la scelta del bn
..che indiscutibilmente evita distrazioni cromatiche e si lega al concetto di passato e di "assenza"

Were you able to do justice to the sacredness of the place .. through three basic things:
- A perfectly timed PDR
..which leads the viewer into direct contact with the first cross and grass that lies ahead
..and that accentuates with the right perspective to the multitude of crosses
- The management of light and then the whites
..which it allows you to read the engravings on the cross before giving the opportunity to the observer of the merits
- The choice of bn
..that unquestionably avoids distractions of color and binds to the concept of the past and a "no"

Il b&w e l'alto contrasto rendono bene l'idea della sacralità del luogo e quali drammatici eventi rievocano.
Mi piace molto la rielaborazione di questo scatto, ottima la scelta del pdr e superbo il cielo nuvoloso così esaltato che impone ancor più drammaticità al risultato finale.

The b & w and high contrast give a good idea of ??the sanctity of the place and what dramatic events recall.
It really like the reworking of this shot, excellent choice of PDR and superb cloudy sky so exalted that imposes even more drama to the final result.
