Oppure un diaframma apertissimo di modo da accentuarla (la sfocature) a tal punto da farla diventare parte integrante della composizione...

Si vero il diaframma più chiuso, ma ho l'impressione che visto il tipo di lente, sui lati avresti avuto comunque una sfocatura, è tipico dei grandangolari usati con soggetti molto ravvicinati. Per questo magari sarebbe andato bene anche uno scatto un po' più distante, e poi sul RAW il crop asportando le parti laterali sfocate... sai che quasi quasi ci faccio una prova pure io hihi!
Un interessante test! Ora vedo se trovo qualcosa di geometrico e ritmico a casa e poi faccio un esercizio
La de-centratura invece non è così pesante per soggetti cosi ritmici e ripetitivi... alla fine è davvero poco la differenza e non compromette il risultato.
