Ogni tanto, durante un lungo trasferimento dalla zona dei Surma all' Omo river, con la scusa di sgranchirci le gambe, me ne sono fotografato per curiosare in quei piccoli villaggi dove non si fermano mai turisti perchè non ci sono tribù spettacolari ma che sono sempre interessanti e di solito riservano anche belle esperienze a livello umano. In un piccolo paesino ho notato una casa di fango dove si affollavano parecchi persone ed ovviamente non ho potuto fare a meno di entrare: era stracolma di persone impolverate che portavano il loro sacco di grano a far macinare. Lo stupore di vedermi entrare, in una zona dove i turisti sono sempre e solo di passaggio, per un attimo ha paralizzato tutti creando un momento di silenzio e di stallo quasi reali ma ben presto sono ritornati a dedicarsi alla loro attività.
