Nice capture in beautiful setting. I believe this is actually a Green Heron not a Bittern. Just so you would know for future reference. We have a lot of them here in the Willamette Valley. I think they are really cool little birds. On my monitor it appears that the expose on the bird is a little light.
The exposure for the rest of the scene appears just fine. Perhaps light reflecting off the water bouncing off the plumage of the bird. Mostly noticeable on the wings and tail. Takes away a little of the saturation and detail. The stalk coming over the bill of the Heron is a bit distracting.
Always things to be aware of when composing a shot. With some effort it could be cloned out in post processing to preserve the image. As I am sure you know, sometimes you just have to take what you can get in order to get the shot. You asked for feedback so I'm giving it. :-) Overall still a nice composition and capture. Wally
