Quando lo sfondo fa la differenza !! il luogo dove fotografo questo grazioso uccello ,gode di circa 6 km di sponda è ovvio essendo una zona non protetta il fatto che gradisce il posatoio è una conseguenza di vari fattori . Quello principale dipende dal posto , che forma una piccola rientranza con acqua calma e quindi può avvistare bene il pesce , in più un rametto robusto ed orizzontale dove può sbatacchiare il pesce prima di ingoiarlo è preferibile alle migliaia di canne verticali e scomode . La mimetizzazione e il silenzio e tanta pazienza ,fan parte della del necessario per non spaventarlo . Il posizionare il posatoio è progressivo e molto delicato ,basta qualche metro di distanza e non lo gradisce ma pian piano si trova la giusta posizione anche per l'aspetto fotografico . In questo caso lo sfondo è composto da una sponda della laguna , ricca di vegetazione con tonalità variabili di colori che variano con il passare delle ore , la distanza di circa 40 mt. determina uno sfuocato eccezionale !!
