Great sharpness but unfortunately the fact that both shoulders and 'eye to focus not just makes me appreciate the shot.

Saluti

Perfect clarity, sweep whether or not I think depends on the chest and almost black but because 'shot ...
Greetings

It 's definitely a black redstart (should be a young male .......)
In my opinion there is a little too much contrast and the pose is not the best .....
Hello. ;-)

ps I've seen several times perches as yours but I have not yet understood what wood it is .......

The shot would have been nice, but the fact that unfortunately penalizes both shoulders ...! The next time you turn :)

Sorriso

The perch is a common elm hybrid. :-)

The perch should be liquidambar or similar

is true, the liquidambar often presents these growths suberose shaped wings or ridges on the young branches, but there are also sull'acero country ... (But leaves present I would say that it is neither) and I think on many deciduous trees, with at least one whole leaf could say more, maybe a hornbeam ...

I repeat that the roost is a common elm hybrid. The leaf you see is elm, not liquidambar nor maple. Hornbeam has smooth bark and never with these growths suberose.

"

forgive me, I had the page open and problems with the connection and I did not see your response a few minutes before my :-|: I trust absolutely on your version, I did not want to question it (because I escludevo the liquidambar and the maple leaf, which I have carefully compared and I was left with a doubt in memory for Ostrya, hornbeam)

Ciao
Fabio

The position of the subject is not the best and I see too much contrast, snap certainly try again ;-)

Grazie ancora e ciao
Ivan

Grazi much to all, both for comments both for the identification of the bird and the perch ;-)
The shot was not done by stalking, but as I walked, the redstart has settled about 3 feet in front of me choosing among other things, a nice perch.
I agree with the over-sharpening, but I tried to recover the part of the head that was blurred.
Thanks again and hello
Ivan
