Simple composition and I find funny, for me the strong part is the lighting that I cared for and warm. I assume that this is an exercise in lighting.
The vertical cut for two people standing there can be, but in this case the space above I find it excessive and that does not bind so well at the level of composition.
In this case, I always preferred a vertical cut but a more balanced shot with maybe a bit of extra space on the side.

Trying to give a different slant to your shot, I noticed with amazement the beautiful decor that brings the jar, and saw the title, it would deserve more light and detail.
