Beautiful John, it seems the sun rise with the stars ...
I cut the light reflection perhaps of a country at the bottom right ...
in the upper left hand there was mist?

Hello John! Nice clip of the night, only criticism is the reduction noise ..... I think it's a little too strong and you can see the contours of the mountains too marked the edge of the sky (above left), in addition to making a little flat detail . The exhibition seems to me very good, ritaglierei the right side where there is light pollution, centering mostly on the lake and rivedrei noise reduction (with the program that you do?), The shot deserves it!
Hope that useful, hello! ;-)

Gazie david useful as usual, the PP I can exclusively with Photoshop, but I'm studying 40,000 things and I'm not yet come to head ... but trial and error at the end ........
I'll try to touch up again and put
thanks for everything

Ok, the reduction of noise photoshop I do not like very much .... I use it very little (I recommend the software-nik Dfine and everyway the entire suite, amazing! - Or noiseninja) but try to use low values ??(even very low!) and do some tests. Although it is iso 3200 I do not think that the 5DIII have a bad file to those feelings. At max you can make a louder noise reduction on the sky than the landscape. For the sharpening instead I suggest, always on photoshop radius 0.3 / 0.4 and values ??around 80/90%. The shot really deserves cm ² and the exposure is correct. Hello!

hello david, thanks for the valuable info, even the reduction from Camera Raw 6 is up? I actually used a 2 reductions of 60% for the landscape and a 100% for the sky, I still have big problems with the fusion of 2 shots though, as you can see in the upper left is artificial and you see a strange detachment between the mountain and the sky. For the sharpening'm using a duplicate of the layer to which I add the High Pass filter using the overlay method. Noiseninja I have it installed but I never used it. Tomorrow morning I shall recover provide a decent monitor (this one I postprodotta from the laptop) and try again because the shot really like me too.
thanks again

great, the lights on the tops of the moon only make it special, especially with the stars visible above.

But for me you put too much noise reduction, better a little more noise than planing detail.
The best though is to put the noise reduction more on blacks than on whites using layer masks or even better brightness. ;-)
