Carina laying and `expression of the weasel! since you've had time while waiting to come out I would have done some test shots trying to get a `bell effect for the background, the picture is nice, but unfortunately all the clutter behind the subject does not fully appreciate! For example, the `last of this series is, in my opinion, much better. Unfortunately, however, `and` coming move! :)

They are not very practical nature photography in general, you should read the page written by Juza, Photographing animals

www.juzaphoto.com/article.php?l=it&article=16

If I understand correctly you shot at f / 8 if it is so for sure I would open most better to blur the background behind the weasel, I worked cmq or priority of time choosing 1/500 or more or aperture priority, choosing an `open` to give me the desired effect in the background, set the ISO 400/800 if need be. Usually, if you work in aperture priority the camera will set the quickest time possible. cmq nature photography animals I think is one of the most difficult kinds hehe.
I often find myself shooting at ISO 800 with my modest 1000D, so I think your 7D would hold more high ISO well, I'd rather have a picture a bit grainy, but as I will, rather than with a little noise but move! Anything to bring home the shot! :)

Comunque ottima cattura!!Sorriso

Grazie a tutti per i consigli.
Sono stati i miei primi scatti fatti con un tele.
Ora ho preso piu confidenza.
Anche se sono soddisfatto delle foto che ho portato a casa

I like the point of shooting, the focus, the part pimo plan that creates a soft focus effect, the maf and colors.
Here is perhaps a lack of pro-activity on your part, I mean that each passing moment the situation can change if the subject turns to one side should emphasize your reactivity in bringing changes to the flight of the shooting parameters.
On this occasion, you could:
- Use the servos and you moved the joystick point maf in the viewfinder left
- Use one-point shot with af central mettevi focus, you held the shutter button halfway, ricomponevi decentralizing sogegtto taking photos and bringing back the shutter button halfway ready for more shots.
That slight shake has not allowed you to improve the sharpness on the nose, for the next sessions photografich and the birdlife is seeking to use shutter speed and security borderline ;-)
hello and good light, laurel

For me it is a beautiful shot, a subject I know well and I know mooooooooolto be incredibly elusive as well as fast. A fine is the minimum.
