Ciao,

Hello,
seems to me an Adder ( Vipera berus ) ...

If you have a detail of the head use the dichotomous keys for identification.

Sicuramente vipera dell'Ursinii!!
Davide

Surely viper dell'Ursinii!
Made in Abruzzi, where there is the adder!
Then the size (it was an adult) and habitat are unmistakable!

CIAO ..e bella cattura!

I'll take your word! The dimensions say little because they do not derive from the photo and also the habitat with 10 cm of lawn says very little ...

I looked at the preoculare it is not clear whether it is attached to the nose. However, since you did it in Abruzzo and the adder there .... is necessarily ursinii.

HELLO .. and nice catch!

Grazie!!
Davide

Porcupine you're right ... I have explained myself badly: I was referring to the remarks made in the field, which, quite rightly, you were not there! :-|
Thank you!
David

Giorgio

Adder or ursinii do not know, but much good shots clear and detailed.
Giorgio
