Arco galactic sent on August 01, 2013 (23:46) by Cobarcore. 32 comments, 6377 views. [retina]

, 20 sec f/2.5, ISO 3200, tripod.

#NightPhotos #MilkyWay #Notturno #Stelle

Well, according to me is not bad! Would you be so kind as to explain briefly what procedure you used for the shoot? If you can not no problem anyway.
Congratulations
Alberto

Congratulations indeed on my part! As Alberto'd be curious to know the technique or to at least some advice if possible ;-) 8-)

There is no secret! I took in a vertical leaving plenty of space to cover (about 50%) and I made two files, one with the horizon in the field and the other above.
The lateral movement of the head of the tripod I set writing with a marker of the notches in order to make movements more or less regular.
Obviously the head was blown.

The core I can not seem to get it out that way. post production, or is already taken as giving that definition? Compliments.

Thank you all for the comments too generous! :-)

@ Max: the core comes out more or less according to the quality of the sky. There is no particular PP. There, the sky was dark enough (21.3 sqm if I remember correctly) and in the direction of the IL is moderate. If you go in the desert of Namibia, as I did 2 years ago, you'll see that stuff coming out, and without changing anything in the setup!

On the contrary, I am stunned, I find it a masterpiece! Never seen anything like it ... I had stopped to photos of the milky way:-D

Forgive my ignorance, but if they are united among themselves 32 shots, I guess kind of as when using hugin, or photoshop to combine the views, how did you keep the alignment of the stars, I want to say the sky was not moved between the clicks? Have you used an equatorial mount?

Excuse all my questions, but in astrophotography are just a goat!

I find very interesting photo. It's nice to see that with a 20 mm on aps be able to frame the whole milky way even if you had to take two strips.
really nice compliments and finally someone not stingy with information!
