Thank you Lince! Yes I think I could have gone above ten seconds but I didn't want startrails to appear so I preferred not to increase too much the speed. That was also a good opportunity to test the high ISO performance of my camera. Next time maybe I will try longer exposures with lower ISO. Sorriso

The shot was taken at the "barrage d'Emosson" in Valais, Switzerland, close to the french border

Thanks again for your comment,

Ciao,
Vincent

Correct me if I'm wrong, since it is a kind of photos I want to address in the near future, the fact that you kept the ISO so high it took to make it point the photo on the starry sky?

The photo for the rest serve no comments, it is beautiful! ;-)

Thank you all for your comments. Indeed, the high ISO performance of the Canon 6D is really amazing. I really like this camera :)

You're perfectly right Antonio, I didn't go above ten seconds and I increased the ISO because I didn't want startrails, I just wanted stars to appear as points. However, since the shot was taken at 16mm, I could have increased the length of the exposure to 20 seconds, and decreased the ISO to 6400, and that would still have been ok. However, if you shoot with a 24mm, you would need to stay at 15 seconds or below.

Belle image, et le 6d semble bien encaisser la montée en iso !

Grazie a tutti !!

Effectivement, la montée en ISO du 6D est juste bluffante. Je m'attendais à quelque chose d'extraordinaire en acquérant cet appareil, mais là c'est juste au-delà de toute espérance! MrGreen
