con Canon EF 2.0x III, 1/500 f/8.0, ISO 1000, hand held. Oasi dei Quadris, Italy. Specie: Geronticus eremita

www.lauromagrisphotonature.com -Priorità apertura, val.dev.esp. +0,333. , focale 800mm . -2013 1 esemplare ucciso (Archimedes .. tra Padova e Vicenza) - 2014 Hella a Livorno - 2016 4 esemplari uccisi (Thor e Tara presso Grosseto, Kato presso Montecchio Precalcino -VI-, Enno in Val Camonica -BS-).

1/500 sec ...??
From the data trigger the effective focal would be 400x2 = 800mm x 1.3 (sensor) = 1040mm ...
A free hand ..??? wow!
Even if I use the stabilizer, cabbage does not have the arms you have a Gitzo built ..! :-)
Congratulations
Roberto

Many thanks to those who have clicked through "like", Roberto Spouts, The ggettoindistruttibile, Luca Filidei and Bepi customer comments for the welcome. x Roberto B. : The canon 400mm L is DO weighs 610 grams less than the 300mm L is f.2, 8 and 1.930 grams less well to 500mm f.4 l is usm, then it is more balanced than the 300mm and these two factors help a lot if aided by the proper shooting technique :-). Hello and good light at all, laurel

've been there from quadris in the middle 'in July, although it was not opening day was a guided tour and they let me enter.
I was surprised to find the birds, some specimens have approached and began to peck gently in the palms of my hands and my wife to try food that we have been very careful not to offer him for not combine damage!

Congratulations excellent shot with a subject very rare!
We hope that such meetings can become less rare and that the efforts made for the conservation of the species give good results. (Despite the illegal killing)
All the best, Ivan.
