Beautiful work!! Maybe a few more shots would have allowed you to have the whole subject in focus. Congratulations Marzio

Thanks! Unfortunately it was quite nervous, changing position all the time, pumping the abdomen, opening and close the wings. Additionally the weather was windy, so I'm quite happy of the result in such conditions. I focus manually so its quite challenging with such small object to have everything in focus ;)

I understand you!! I also use a manual slide and I know that when they want these bees they can give you a hard time. :-D

It was taken on the warm evening, so the bee was not totally sleeping. From my observations, even in better weather conditions they are not easy to photograph. They react on every move around or any noise they hear. Not an easy task anyway to make a good picture. Other thing is I use Zerene to compile the shots - this software is marvelous. There is no any better on the market to create perfectly stacked images. The retouching option is a gold.
