Alessandro, il bianco accecante proviene dall’evaporazione delle acque, unito dal gesso e al calcare bianco delle falesie circostanti, i colori rosso, ocra, arancio, marrone e giallo provengono da ossidi di ferro e altri minerali, il rosa è costituito da antichi strati di argilla e altri minerali, il blu e l’azzurro sono visibili dalle formazioni di pozze d’acqua residue durante la stagione umida o nel riflesso del cielo sul suolo lucido e salino.
