Mentre cercavo farfalle da fotografare, tra le numerose orchidee spontanee che incontravo lungo il percorso, una pianta in particolare attira la mia attenzione per la sua forma particolare. Incuriosito, ho fatto qualche ricerca e scoperto che si tratta del Barbone Adriatico, un'orchidea rara, protetta a livello europeo e considerata a rischio di estinzione. Il suo monitoraggio avviene anche grazie alle segnalazioni di escursionisti che ne individuano esemplari in natura. L'Università di Perugia, impegnata nel censimento della specie, invita infatti a inviare fotografie e coordinate GPS dei ritrovamenti. Dopo aver fornito la mia segnalazione, ho voluto dedicarle qualche scatto fotografico, affascinato dalla sua rarità e dalla sua straordinaria bellezza.
