Collocato sulle alture del Principato di Monaco , il Giardino Esotico è una cornice ai piedi di una grotta millenaria scavata nella roccia dalla quale si può godere di una splendida viste sulla Rocca e sul mare antistanti . Un luogo che unisce botanica , geologia e storia in un contesto spettacolare dove cactus provenienti da tutto il mondo dialogano con uno dei più bei panorami del Principato . Aperto al pubblico per la prima volta nel 1933 sotto il regno del Principe Luigi II questo sito costruito a picco sulla scogliera era chiuso dal 2020 per consentire un ampio intervento di ristrutturazione messa in sicurezza delle pareti rocciose e riqualificazione . Dopo sei anni di lavori il giardino è stato riaperto al pubblico alla fine di marzo ; continua a ospitare all’aperto un’importante collezione di piante succulente , in particolare cactacee provenienti dalle zone aride delle Americhe e dell’Africa ; all'interno del giardino si apre una grotta detta "Grotta dell' Osservatorio " decorata da stalattiti e stalagmiti il cui ingresso è posizionato in uno dei punti più alti del Principato e scende fin sotto il livello del mare ; vi sono state rinvenute anche tracce di presenze umane risalenti alla preistoria . #Panoramiche #Seascape #Mare #Acqua #Water
