Dal 2009 al 2015 la Ferrari S.p.a. produsse una vettura denominata Ferrari 458 in versione Berlina e dal 2011 anche in versione Spider. Nel 2013 apparve pure una versione potenziata denominata 458 Speciale (in vari allestimenti per gareggiare) di cui le Ferrari F8 Tributo e Ferrari F8 Spider (qui visibile) possono essere considerate le sue ultime e dirette evoluzioni. Queste F8 entrarono in produzione nel 2019 e vi rimasero fino al 2023. Il nome indica con F la casa madre mentre la cifra 8 è riferita al propulsore (posizionato in posizione centrale posteriore) che è in configurazione V8 di 90° per una cilindrata di 3902 cm3 addizionati di un doppio dispositivo turbo così da poter erogare 720 cavalli di potenza massima che permette alla vettura di raggiungere i 340 chilometri. Questa F8 Spider è dotata di un tettuccio rigido pieghevole a comando elettrico che può aprirsi o richiudersi in 14 secondi.
