I usually find long exposures of this type detestable, where everything is still and typically "silky", while the boats are moved given their continuous rolling (even in calm waters). However, I like this image very much, and it actually seems to express a sort of plastic slowing down and "deformation" of time. A sort of metamorphosis. And, on top of that, one of the boats (the distant one on the top right), managed to stay put!
