Il 26 aprile sera, viste le buone condizioni del cielo, ho deciso di riprendere anche questa zona della Luna, situata nell'emisfero nord e molto ricca di dettagli. Nell'immagine è ben visibile Plato, un cratere con un diametro di circa 100 km e caratterizzato da un fondo relativamente liscio e scuro. Più a est si vedono le Alpi lunari con la Vallis Alpes, un'enorme valle lunga circa 160 Km che taglia in due la catena montuosa. Nella parte bassa dell'immagine è visibile il Mare Imbrium, a nord di Plato il Mare Frigoris e, vicino al lato destro della foto, la catena montuosa del Caucaso.
