A volte è capitato di imbattermi in qualche carcassa, avanzo momentaneo della predazione, solitamente, del lupo nei confronti di grandi erbivori. Avanzo momentaneo dato che quei resti finiscono sempre per essere ulteriormente consumati dai cacciatori “iniziali” di ritorno come da altri consumatori opportunisti e quello che ancora può permanere per qualche tempo viene disperso nell’ambiente da questi soggetti per poi subire successivi passaggi come, ad esempio, il consumo delle ossa da parte dei roditori ecc. ecc. Può essere che si guardi alla scena di una predazione con una certa repulsione (motivo per cui il soggetto è in “primo piano”) ma non si possono ignorare le dinamiche che regolano gli equilibri del mondo animale nei liberi ambienti naturali. I nostri sentimenti, umanizzati, di volta in volta per un cervo o un lupo possono essere contrastanti ma non bisogna dimenticare che i ruoli di entrambi sono connessi.
