Questo mare lunare ha un diametro di circa 560 km e si trova sul bordo nord-orientale della faccia visibile della Luna. In questa immagine si trova anche vicino al terminatore perchè il nostro satellite, al momento della ripresa, era in fase gibbosa calante con una percentuale illuminata del 96%.
