Dopo 17 anni di onoratissima carriera (2009-2026), e oltre un milione e mezzo di scatti effettuati, ho preso la decisione di mandare in pensione la mia Canon EOS 7D, prima versione. Con Lei, ho vinto un concorso fotografico dedicato al Carnevale di Venezia 2010, alla mia prima uscita fotografica di questo genere ritrattistico. Compagna fedele di tutte le mie avventure fin oggi vissute e raccontate, anche in condizioni estreme, come a Dobbiaco, in Val Pusteria, nell'anno 2011, a -26°C gradi sotto zero, dovuto alle riprese per l'accensione delle mongolfiere in notturna. Una compagna tutto fare: dalle macro ai paesaggi, ai ritratti di modelle famose, agli aeroplani passando per i treni a vapore storici, dallo sport come moto e auto da corsa nei circuiti nazionali, poi con le gare di equitazione di salto ostacoli nazionali e internazionali (le migliori fotografie scattate dal 2017 a oggi nelle gare di salto ostacoli, sono state scattate con questa macchina), per concludere in bellezza con le Rievocazioni Storiche su lunghe distanze o per riprese ravvicinate nei combattimenti corpo a corpo. Mi mancherà, e non so se esiste una macchina al giorno d'oggi in grado di ottenere risultati del genere, dopo 17 anni di intensissimo servizio operativo. Grazie di tutto, 7D !
