Finalmente, dopo molto tempo, sono riuscito a riprendere il gigante gassoso con le sue 4 lune medicee. Anche se è ormai lontano dall'opposizione, il pianeta può mostrare comunque dettagli delle sue bande atmosferiche anche con piccoli telescopi, questo grazie alle sue enormi dimensioni reali e al suo grande diametro apparente, che lo rendono ben visibile quasi tutto l'anno. A sinistra nella foto si vedono Callisto e Ganimede, mentre dall'altra parte ci sono Europa, con la sua ombra proiettata sul pianeta, e Io.
