La Nebulosa Rosetta, fra i gioielli del cielo invernale è quello a cui sono più affezionato. L'ho fotografata la prima volta nel periodo di Natale 30 anni fa dal Monte Zugna, Rovereto. Ho un ricordo vivido di quella notte, con un amico in mezzo a tanta neve a -16°. Oggi la fotografo dal terrazzo di casa in pieno centro di Poggio Rusco. Che salti da gigante ha fatto la tecnica di ripresa astrofotografica in questi anni !!! La Nebulosa Rosetta si trova a circa 5.200 anni luce di distanza da noi e se potessimo vederla a occhio nudo in cielo apparirebbe molto più grande della Luna Piena. Gli aglomerati oscuri che si vedono sono chiamati globuli di Bok. Qui la materia per effetto gravitazionale sta collassando, e collassando aumenta la velocità e con essa la temperatura via via fino a raggiungere la densità e la temperatura sufficienti ad innescare le prime reazioni nucleari e ...e nasce una nuova stella !!! Per i tecnici: Takahashi Fsq106 Edx IV @f/5.0, Asi2600mm, Am5, Frame Ha-Oiii-Sii (12:12:12x600) Integrazione totale 6 ore.
