Non sarà il più grande e il più fornito, ma Word on the Water è sicuramente il negozio di libri più caratteristico di Londra. Allestito su una chiatta olandese risalente al 1920, dispone di un piccolo palco sul tetto dove si tengono spettacoli di musica acustica e letture di poesie, mentre all'interno è arredato con poltroncine e divani, una stufa a legna, un'antica macchina da scrivere e centinaia di libri nuovi e usati. Un vero gioiellino per gli amanti dei libri! Il Word on the Water si trova attraccato lungo il Regents Canal, ad altezza King's Cross.
