Immagine, oltre bella, anche molto interessante e "didattica" che mostra la struttura interna di una colata lavica molto potente; durante il raffreddamento queste colate si possono fratturare piu' o meno regolarmente e dare luogo a parallelepipedi (colonne) che alla loro base presentano un numero di lati che dipende dello spessore delle colate stesse.
Non si tratta, quindi, di granito ma di una roccia magmatica effusiva.

Image, as well as beautiful, also very interesting and "teaching" that shows the internal structure of a lava flow very powerful; during cooling these flows can fracture more 'or less regularly and give rise to rectangular (columns) that have their basis a number of sides that depends on the thickness of the castings themselves.
It is not, therefore, granite but of an effusive magmatic rock.
