Dopo le abbondanti nevicate di questi giorni, ho deciso di partire intorno alle 17 per raggiungere il punto da cui realizzare lo scatto. Per me questa è una delle prospettive più belle in assoluto, quella che riesce davvero a mettere in evidenza l'anima di Petralia Soprana. Nella luce del crepuscolo, Petralia Soprana si arrampica sulla roccia con la grazia di un presepe di pietra. Le luminarie fanno da contorno con la loro luce calda, avvolgendo le case vissute da secoli. La Chiesa di Loreto si staglia con eleganza, incastonata tra le creste di Monte Alto, che veglia in silenzio, e il suo “faro” diventa un punto di riferimento per tutti i paesi madoniti, una luce che non è solo fisica, ma simbolica: guida, presenza, memoria. In un gioco di prospettive Guardando da qui, per un attimo sembra che Petralia Soprana sia più alta di Monte Alto, come se il borgo si fosse arrampicato fino a toccare il cielo. È un'illusione, ma anche una magia che cattura noi: il paese domina la scena, mentre i monti, vegliano alle sue spalle. Ed è proprio qui che nasce la magia. Il cielo, ormai privo del sole, trattiene gli ultimi respiri del giorno e li mescola alla luce del paese. Offre pace, silenzio, appartenenza. Anche solo per un istante, ci si sente parte di qualcosa di eterno. Questa è la prova lampante che i paesaggi madoniti non hanno nulla da invidiare a nessuna nazione del mondo. Richiamano atmosfere lontane, scenari nordici, borghi alpini, eppure sono qui, autentici e veri. L'unica differenza? Non sempre hanno amministratori capaci di apprezzare fino in fondo l'enorme potenziale naturalistico, culturale ed emotivo che custodiscono.
