Particolare del santuario mariano di Boccadirio - Appennino Bolognese - Territorio comunale di Castiglione dei Pepoli / Vecchio scatto eseguito in una fredda, grigia e nebbiosa giornata di un febbraio di parecchi anni fa. Il santuario, secondo per importanza nell'ambito della diocesi di Bologna dopo quello di San Luca che sovrasta la città, sorge in territorio montano a breve distanza dal confine con la Toscana. La tradizione vuole che il 6 luglio 1480 la Madonna apparisse a due umili pastorelli … da qui l'evoluzione a partire dalla fine del XVI secolo quando ebbe inizio la costruzione del santuario che sorge immerso in un avvolgente ambiente forestale; il completamento dell'opera risale al '700 e unisce elementi dell'arte toscana con l'uso della pietra serena. Lo scatto è sicuramente minimalista rispetto alle possibili rappresentazioni del santuario ma, allora, mia intenzione era solo portare a casa un piccolo ritaglio di quella silenziosa atmosfera.
